MESSIAH 6 MARCH 2018
Inspired by Handel’s philanthropy, period instrument ensemble The Amadè Players return to St John’s Smith Square to celebrate International Women’s Day 2018 with the Associated Country Women of the World. ACWW is one of the largest rural women’s development organisations, with more than 9 million members worldwide.
Performing with a small group of players and singers, and with solo numbers sung from within the ensemble, The Amadè Players draw on Handel’s versions of Messiah as performed in London for the benefit of the young and needy residents of the Foundling Hospital.
